Susquehannock Pavilion at Druid Hill Park
Join us for our Autumn Equinox Potluck!
Autumn Equinox is one of the two times of year that day and night are just about equal. We celebrate balance, simultaneous endings and beginnings, and the harvest that the spring and summer months gave us.
We will come together, breathe, set up a table for our shared “harvest,” have time to enjoy eating and conversing maybe with some tarot cards, music, a magical tool trade, or even Frisbee if we’re feeling spunky. Then we’ll end our time together by watching the sunset that’s predicted to begin around 7:10pm. We do have the pavilion until after 7:30pm so we don’t have to rush to clean up and pack out.
While this is a potluck event, no one is turned away for lack of food. If you do choose to bring something to share, please remember that this is a sober event/community.
What You Might Bring:
Something delicious and shareable (with a list of ingredients)
Items for a magical swap!
Fun park activities to do with others like tarot, Frisbee, or musical instruments
Who is Baltimore Reclaiming? Baltimore Reclaiming is a radically inclusive community of witches who use our magic to bring transformation, justice and healing to ourselves, Baltimore and the world. We are a group of witches, artists, pagans, healers, activists, queers, priestesses, anarchists, theater geeks, feminists, and other good humans. We see our work as teaching and making magic: the art of empowering ourselves and each other. In our classes, workshops, and public rituals, we train our voices, bodies, energy, intuition, and minds. We use the skills we learn to deepen our strength, both as individuals and as community, to voice our concerns about the world in which we live, and bring to birth a vision of a new culture. We gather, mostly on the Sabbats, to work magic, often for personal healing and also for the healing of our society and planet. We believe that the work we do together in our sacred circles really can change the world.
Location: We will be at the Susquehannock Pavilion in Druid Hill Park. To get there, travel on East Drive towards the swimming pool. From East Drive, you want to turn onto the Pool Service Road, which is behind the Druid Park swimming pool. Off the Pool Service Road, you take Red Road, and find parking. You follow the pathway up to the Pavilion, which is the only one behind the pool. Here’s a Google pin.
Cost: Pavilion rental cost $175 this year. If you would like to contribute to helping pay for that (no one is required to do so but help is appreciated), you can Venmo @Zac-Lawhon or bring cash when you come in person. No one is turned away for lack of funds. You are fully welcome regardless of your ability to financially donate.
Drugs & Alcohol: All Baltimore Reclaiming events are drug- and alcohol-free. We respectfully request that you do not use drugs or alcohol before or while attending our events.
Scent Policy: We strive to accommodate people who have chemical and scent sensitivities. Please keep these people in mind as you make choices about wearing scented personal hygiene products.
