Date & Time: Saturday November 3rd, 2018 Arrive 6:30, Ritual start 7:00 Location: Homewood Friends Meeting House, Main Hall 3107 North Charles Street, Baltimore MD 21218 Intention: With the Red God and the Star Goddess we dance the healing of our blood and endlessly seek to return in love.
Description: We are humans in the present. We are the sum of our past, but are not defined by it. We can choose to act in the present. The Red God longs to return to the Star Goddess as our ancestors long for us and we long for them as the Star Goddess longs for the Red God. We are humans and we choose to act in the present and we choose to heal this world.
Our ancestors were activists, artists, witches, colonizers, exploited, abusers, abused, mothers, fathers, children, everything. And we are those things here in the present. To heal the world, we must heal all of the worlds. Healing is an action that spreads up and out and about. By healing the past we heal the present, and by healing the present we heal the past. This dance of healing reverberates forward endlessly. The dance reverberates forward even as we remain in the present. As we heal our ancestors our descendants reach back towards us in love because we are their ancestors. As the Red God and the Star Goddess long for each other, the past, present, and future desire to meet. In that meeting place is where we find the dance.
To bring: Please bring items for the ancestor altar. You will take these items home with you.

We will be working with the Star Goddess, Miria, the Blue God, the Green God, and the Red God, as they dance and transform and sing all of the worlds into being. This ritual arc began at Lammas 2018 and continues until Beltane 2019. Participants are welcome to join at any point during this 7 ritual arc. Celebrate Autumn Equinox with Baltimore Reclaiming
Join Baltimore Reclaiming for our annual picnic potluck!
Location Southwest Area Park Pavillion 1 Lansdowne, MD 21227
Time 3-6 pm for potluck picnic, 6-7 for sunset viewing
On or near the Autumn Equinox, Baltimore Reclaiming traditionally skips an elaborate ritual in favor of a community building event.
Sunset Viewing This event traditionally includes a group sunset viewing. This year, we have chosen to rent a pavilion which means we are in the park as an "official permitted group." The park informs me that all pavilion events MUST end by seven. This means our official event WILL conclude by seven. Sunset on this day is at 7:04 pm, and that is when the park officially closes, however the sun will certainly start setting before that time.
Parking There is a parking lot right in front of the pavilion. You can find directions by putting "Southwest Area Park Pavilion, Lansdowne, MD 21227" into google maps and it will take you right to the pavilion.
Public Transit It is also located 12 minute walk from the Baltimore Highlands light rail stop. Walking directions from there are as follows: Head South. Make 1st right on Klunk Drive. Continue for 0.1 miles. At the T-intersection, make a let to stay on Klunk Dr. Continue for 0.4 miles. Take your second right and you will be in the pavilion parking lot. Unfortunately, there is not a sidewalk from the light rail to the pavilion. We are hoping that since it is the road in the park it won't be very busy but pleas USE CAUTION.
To bring Please bring food and drinks to share with others. There is a charcoal grill at the pavilion that can be used. If you like, bring instruments to play music (guitars, drums, shakers, etc. No amplification). Please bring tarot cards if you wish to give readings. Please invite children and partners!
Cost There is no charge to attend this event. We want everyone to attend regardless of their ability to contribute financially. However we do have expenses and ask that those who can help cover the cost of this event, please do. We spent $60 renting the pavilion for this event. We ask that those who can contribute $5 towards the event. Please bring cash or send money ahead of time. You can send money via paypal or squarecash to email@example.com or via Venmo to 443-458-2962. Intention: We dream with the Star Goddess to recreate the world.
Before time, the Star Goddess lies dreaming against the cool, dark curve of space. The Star Goddess is whole, complete, and full of potential. The Star Goddess dreams. The dance of life and living has happened, is happening, and will always be happening and right now ze sleeps. The Star Goddess dreams of many things. The Star Goddess dreams of our ancestors and descendants. The Star Goddess dreams of our wild ones, our green, fae, and animal allies. The Star Goddess dreams of stars. The Star Goddess dreams of us.
As the Goddess dreams at Lammas, we listen. What parts of the story are calling the community? We listen to the myriad voices of many souled beings that have been and will be. What does the laughing voice of the Blue God say to us right now? What does the Green God whisper, who speaks through the voices of our plant allies and the fae? And the Red God, tied to our ancestors and descendants, what messages do they have? We also listen to Miria, the reflection of the Star Goddess, as well as the movement of the dance of ecstasy that flows between all beings. We tune in to the dreams of the Star Goddess as ze dreams these potentials, and envision possibilities for ourselves and for all of the worlds.
More about the Star Goddess For the ritual cycle that runs from Lammas 2018 to Beltane 2019, the Ritual Planning Cell will be offering rituals that are thematically inspired by the Feri Creation Myth of the Star Goddess. You can read about it here: http://www.baltimorereclaiming.org/star-goddess-myth.html
