Meet. Talk. Reconnect. Make art. Make music. Watch the sunset together.

Fall Equinox w/ Baltimore Reclaiming

Saturday, September 18, 2021

5:30 pm through Sundown (7:09pm)

Location: Patterson Park, Pavilion 1 (the middle of Patterson Park, then a walk to the hills at the west end of the park to watch the sunset). Park address: 2601 E Baltimore St, Baltimore, MD 21224; parking is on-street, all around the park.

Bring some food for yourself, relax, make art and music with us, and watch the sunset. This isn’t a "Capital R" ritual, this is chill time with friends.

Things to Know:

This isn’t going to be a ritual, but more of a time to informally connect. Because of COVID precautions this year, we have decided to make this a “bring your own food” sort of picnic. If you and a group of people want to network and share food, that is acceptable, but we aren’t hosting a potluck this year. We can still gather and eat together. We will have masks and hand sanitizer available for people who want them.

We will also be bringing musical instruments and art supplies, for people that would like to play a little, and family members are welcome.

We are still in a time where we are asking that if you haven’t attended a Baltimore Reclaiming event, that you hold off on meeting with us for now. But if you have attended any class, ritual, or other Reclaiming event in the last two years, you are welcome to come join us (people who fit this criteria are also free to bring a guest of their choosing.)

This is a NOTAFLOF event: No One Turned Away For Lack Of Funds. If you want to donate, you’re welcome to contribute $10-$20, to help with the space rental and to help us raise money for other events down the line, such as our support of whoever decides to go to BIRCH this year. You may contribute via PayPal to ritual@baltimorereclaiming.org or via Venmo to 910-988-5760.

Who is Baltimore Reclaiming?

We are a group of witches, artists, pagans, healers, activists, queers, priestesses, anarchists, theater geeks, feminists, and other good humans. We see our work as teaching and making magic: the art of empowering ourselves and each other. In our classes, workshops, and public rituals, we train our voices, bodies, energy, intuition, and minds. We use the skills we learn to deepen our strength, both as individuals and as community, to voice our concerns about the world in which we live, and bring to birth a vision of a new culture. We gather, mostly on the Sabbats, to work magic, often for personal healing and also for the healing of our society and planet. We believe that the work we do together in our sacred circles really can change the world.

Drugs & Alcohol:

All Baltimore Reclaiming events are drug and alcohol free. We respectfully request that you do not use drugs or alcohol before or while attending our events.

Dress Code:

Wear whatever you like! You are welcome to wear everything from jeans and a t-shirt to a tuxedo. Often, people like to wear something special for ritual which might mean a favorite dress, a special shawl, a flower crown, or something else. We encourage you to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.
